COURSE
FAST & FLAT 5K
A Thanksgiving morning run through Naperville
The 5K course starts and finishes on Hillside Road behind Naperville Central High School. The course is flat and fast, making it enjoyable for walkers and families while also offering competitive runners a chance to run a quick time.
IMPORTANT START LOCATION
Naperville Central High School’s address is 440 W. Aurora Ave., but the race start is on Hillside Road.

Several convenient parking options are available within walking distance of the start

Parking is available in the east and west parking lots at Naperville Central High School
DOWNTOWN
Additional Parking is available at:
- Municipal Center
- Riverwalk Rotary Hill
- Centennial Beach
SHUTTLE SERVICE
Tuk Tuk Naperville will provide one-way shuttle service from designated parking areas to Naperville Central High School.
Shuttle map and schedule will be posted closer to race day.

BEFORE THE START
START CORRALS
Line up behind the sign corresponding to your expected pace per mile.
Runners with running strollers should line up behind the 10:00/mile pace sign.
GEAR CHECK
Available 7:30–9:30 AM outside on the east side of the Field House.
Clearly mark your bag with your bib number and look for the silver Boy Scout trailer.
CHIP TIMING
Your timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib.
Do not fold, bend or damage the chip.
ON THE COURSE
WATER STATIONS
Water is available at the start, 2-mile mark and finish.
WALKERS
Walkers are welcome and should plan to finish within one hour. After one hour, walkers may be directed to the sidewalk and may not receive a finish time.
Strollers and Dogs
Running strollers are permitted; regular strollers are not. Dogs, skates, bicycles and scooters are not permitted. Service dogs are welcome.
AFTER THE FINISH
FREE PANCAKE BREAKFAST
Celebrate your finish with a complimentary pancake breakfast, generously provided by Belgio’s Catering.
Enter Naperville Central through Door 9 (pool entrance) and proceed down the hallway to the café.
AWARDS AND PRIZES
Awards and/or prizes are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, plus the top three male and female finishers in each age group. See FAQ for age groups.
Awards available after 9:20 AM
Unclaimed awards may be picked up at Naperville Running Company from November 27 through December 31. Awards will not be mailed.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can someone pick up my race packet?
Yes. If you cannot pick up your packet at Naperville Running Company, a family member or friend may pick it up for you.
Can I pick up my packet on race morning ?
Yes, but race-morning packet pickup is limited and available only from 7:00–7:30 AM. Participants are strongly encouraged to pick up their packets in advance.
Are walkers welcome ?
Yes. Walkers are welcome and are asked to complete the course within one hour. After one hour, walkers may be directed to the sidewalk and may not receive an official finish time.
Can I participate with my stroller?
Running strollers are permitted; regular strollers are not. Runners with strollers should line up behind the 10:00/mile pace sign at the start.
Can I bring my dog ?
Dogs are not permitted on the course. Service dogs are welcome.
Are bicycles, scooters or skates allowed?
No. Bicycles, scooters and skates are not permitted in the race.
Is there a gear check?
Yes. Gear check is available from 7:30–9:30 AM outside on the east side of the Field House. Clearly mark your bag with your bib number and look for the silver Boy Scout trailer.
Will there be water on the course?
Yes. Water is available at the start, 2-mile mark and finish.
Can we wait inside Naperville Central before the race?
The Field House is not available as a pre-race gathering area, so participants should dress appropriately for the weather.
How does race timing work?
A timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib. Do not fold, bend or damage the chip, as this may prevent it from functioning properly.
What happens if I don't pick up my award on race day?
Unclaimed awards may be picked up at Naperville Running Company from November 27 through December 31. Awards are not mailed.
What are the T-shirt sizes ?
All participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Shirt sizes: YM and XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL in both men’s and women’s styles.

What are the Age Group Awards ?
The top three overall male and female runners PLUS the top three male and female runners in the following age groups will receive an award and/or prize.

Overall male and female winners are removed from age categories. Awards are available for pickup after 9:20, once the course is closed. Awards not picked up race day may be picked up at the Naperville Running Company between November 27 and December 31. Awards will not be mailed.
